In August 1976, Qassim Cement Company (QCC) was established under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through a Royal Decree No. M/16. Q.C.C. is a Joint Stock Company with an initial paid-up capital of 300 million Saudi Riyals.
1980 – Commissioning of the plant began.
1981 – Commercial production started with an initial capacity of 2000 MT of clinker per day.
1987 – To accommodate the increasing demand for our product the plant increased its capacity to 4200 MT of clinker per day with the construction of an additional production line.
1989 – QCC was the first cement company to be awarded the Quality Mark by Saudi Arabian Standard Organization (SASO).
1994, April – Upgrading of line 1 minimized dust pollution, in keeping with our environmental policy, and increased production capacity from 2000 to 2500 MT of clinker per day, thereby, increasing plant capacity to 4700 MT of clinker per day.
1999 –Q.C.C. Was awarded ISO 9002, an internationally recognized quality management and quality standards that it maintains up to the present.
